President Tokayev to pay state visit to Kyrgyzstan in fall

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will visit Kyrgyzstan on state visit this fall, Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov told a high-level format meeting C5+1 at the opening ceremony, Sputnik Kazakhstan reports.
"Cooperation with Kyrgyzstan is being strengthened. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev plans to make a state visit to Bishkek this autumn," he said.
Head of state of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov during his working visit to Kazakhstan on May 28 had invited Tokayev to visit Kyrgyzstan on official visit.
A telephone talk between th etwo presidents was held on August 8. Tokayev then expressed hope for normalization of situation in Kyrgyzstan. These days, arrest of ex-President Almazbek Atambayev was being carried out in the country.
