Tokayev receives U.S. Under Secretary of State David Hale

AKIPRESS.COM - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the U.S. Under Secretary of State David Hale, who arrived in Nur-Sultan for participation in the regular C5+1 format meeting, Akorda press service reported. The sides exchanged views on development of a strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and the U.S.m fighting terrorism and restoration of peace and economy of Afghanistan.
The head of state thanked the American side for opportunity to sign the agreements on direct telephone talks between the Presidents of two countries.
Tokayev and Hale at the meeting praised effective implementation of agreements reached as a result of the meeting of the first president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and the U.S. President Donald Trump in January 2018 in Washington.
The American diplomat in turn welcomed the political reforms in Kazakhstan.
