Attorney Ikramidin Aitkulov detained on fraud suspision

AKIPRESS.COM - A lawyer Ikramidin Aitkulov was detained on suspision of fraud, sources told AKIpress. The attorney was summoned to interrogation on August 22 in police of Bishkek.
His spouse Raushan Aitkulova claimed on social media that Aitkulov was kept after interrogation. She says other details will be provided later.
The investigation service of the Interior Ministry last year received a complain from a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, who claimed that Aitkulov took $5,500 by fraud.
The application was registered and the materials were sent to the General Prosecutor's Office for legal evaluation. Then after checking, the General Prosecutor's Office handed over the materials to the Interior Ministry for taking the relevant decisions.
The Interior Ministry on August 22 interrogated the suspect. Investigation is underway.
Ikramidin Aitkulov served as attorney of ex-Deputy Interior Ministry Kursan Asanov, who is probed for power abuse after Koi-Tash events.
The Interior Ministry said Asanov was sacked for unauthorized intervention in surrender negotiations between Interior Minister Kashgar Junushaliyev and ex-President Almazbek Atambayev on August 8 in Koi-Tash village.
