Attorneys can not reach driver of Kursan Asanov, police rejecting information

AKIPRESS.COM - The press service of the Bishkek police told AKIpress they allowed attorneys to meet with the suspect Paizylda uulu Damirbek, driver of former Deputy Interior Minister Kursan Asnov, at their first request. The Military Prosecutor's Office on August 24 received a letter from chief of the investigation group of the Ministry of Interior about giving permission for investigation with participation of the suspect born in 1987.
At about 6:00 pm, the suspect was delivered to the investigation service of the Interior Ministry. After having conducted some investigative actions at about 9:30 pm he was returned to the detention center, the press service said.
Police noted that they permitted a meeting of the attorneys with the suspect on the same night at the request of two attorneys.
The attorneys were informed that they can have a free access to the detention center of the Interior Ministry and that they can address any question to the leadership of the police.
To date, the suspect is arrested along with other suspects and no wrongdoings were reported towards the suspect, the police said.
