Ikram Ilmiyanov's case: Process canceled due to no-show of one of defendant's attorneys

AKIPRESS.COM - The October district court of Bishkek on August 26 postponed the court hearing on the case of former presidential advisor Ikramjan Ilmiyanov and former inspector of the department of the State Tax Service R. Shakirov. The process have been posponed to August 29 due to the absence of attorneys of Shakirov.
Ilmiyanov is being kept at the remand prison of the National Security Committee.
Ilmiyanov was arrested on suspicion of fraud on Oct 20, 2018.
In February, Secretary of the Security Council commented on criminal probe against ex-Deputy Chairman of the President's Office Ikramjan Ilmiyanov saying "investigation found that leadership of one of the firms handed over a bribe of $150,000 in exchange for termination of criminal case against that firm and cancelling the arrest of cargo trucks, which were later taken out of the country."
