Bishkek, Aug.27, 2019. /Kabar/. On Aug. 21-24, 2019, the delegation of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes of the Kyrgyz Republic (Financial Police), headed by Chairman Bakir Taiyrov, took part in the XX session of the Coordinating Council of the Heads of Tax (Financial) Investigations Bodies of the CIS member states (CCITB).
The CCITB session was held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Russia and Uzbekistan, and representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and the Tax and Customs Police Department of the State Revenue Service of Latvia participated as an observer.
In the course of the meeting the participants discussed the implementation of the decisions of the previous CCITB meeting, exchanged information on the activities of tax (financial) investigation agencies to ensure economic security in their countries, and shared their experience of inter-ministerial cooperation in combating smuggling and illicit trafficking of excisable goods.
The CCITB members adopted a number of decisions contributing to the improvement of international cooperation in relevant areas of activity, including the exchange of information on persons, involved in the financing of extremist and terrorist activities.
The chairmanship of the Coordinating Council for the period 2019-2020 has been transferred to Tajikistan.
At the end of the meeting, the members of the Coordinating Council discussed the issues of personnel training, approved the CCITB Work Plan for 2019-2020 and its Action Plan for the implementation of the Interstate Program of joint measures to combat crime for 2019 - 2023.
