More than 90% of schools and hospitals in Osh oblast have access to Internet

Bishkek, Aug. 27, 2019. / Kabar /. More than 90% of schools, village councils and hospitals in Osh oblast have Internet access, governor of Osh oblast Uzarbek Zhylkybaev told at a press conference in Bishkek.
He noted that the government instructed to provide all schools, hospitals and village councils with Internet by 100%.
"But, as you know, in our region there are remote villages where the lines have not yet reached. Kyrgyztelecom is working to extend the fiber-optic cable," he said.
The head of the region noted that in the framework of digitalization, electronic diaries, interactive whiteboards, and the exchange of experience among teachers were introduced in schools.
Zhylkybaev recalled that the population of Osh oblast is 1.3 million people. In addition, the population is multinational.
