Uzbekistan to hold parliamentary, local elections in December

AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan will have parliamentary and local council elections on December 22, Central Election Commission Chairman Mirzo-Ulugbek Abdusalomov said. The proportional representation system will be used. Five political parties officially registered in Uzbekistan will run in the elections.
The following political parties are active in the country: National Revival, People's Democratic Party, Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, Social Democratic Party Adolat, Ecological Party.
