Bishkek, Aug.27, 2019. /Kabar/. New buildings will be built in the secondary school of Orok village, Sokuluk region, Chui oblast, and school-gymnasium No. 12, Bishkek, using the funds of the Single Deposit Account, received as a result of the fight against corruption.
The press service of the Kyrgyz President said that today, Aug. 27, a ceremony of laying capsules for the construction of new buildings of these schools was held with the participation of President Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
In Orok village the Kyrgyz leader talked to the builders, local residents and teachers who were present at the ceremony.
"Due to internal migration, schools in Bishkek, Chui and Osh Oblasts are overloaded. That's why we decided to direct the funds of the Single Deposit Account to the construction of general education institutions and additional buildings," Sooronbay Jeenbekov emphasized.
The President noted the funds of the Single Deposit Account will also be used for the construction of kindergartens.
Currently, the secondary school in Orok village has three shifts and there is an urgent need to build additional classrooms. The new building of the school will consist of two floors and accommodate 500 pupils.
School-gymnasium No. 12 in Bishkek also has an urgent need to expand its classrooms. The three-storey building of the general education institution will be designed for 385 seats.
Construction works are expected to be completed in 2020.
The Single Deposit Account for funds, received from the fight against corruption, was opened in June 2018.
As a result of the monitoring, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic determined the primary list of 15 schools in the country for 2019, where construction work will begin. 7 of them are in Bishkek, 7 -in Chui Oblast and one in Osh city.
