Russia in talks with Kazakhstan on creation of low-cost airline with international flights

AKIPRESS.COM - Chief of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia Igor Artemiev said that they are holding talks with Kazakhstani and Belarusian partners on creation of low-cost airlines in these countries, RIA Novosti reported. "We asked our Kazakh and Belarusian friends to think of creation of their own air carriers of such class that might be competitive to our low-cost airlines. We want to devlop this, but everything goes long, they have not yet felt that this is a very beneficialm good business. But we are convincing them," he said.
Artemiev said it would be good if there is at least one low-cost airline in each country of the Customs Union.
The first low-cost carrier in Kazakhstan FlyArystan performed its first flight on May 1, 2019. The low-cost airline carry passengers from Almaty to Nur-Sultan, Taraz, Shynkent, Karaganda, Uralsk, Pavlodar. The minimum cost of the ticket is 3,999 tenge.
