AKIPRESS.COM - Chairman of the National Energy Holding of Kyrgyzstan Aitmamat Nazarov told a press conference that the company is holding talks with Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan on import of electricity during the next year's heating season.
Import of electricity in 2020 will be necessary due to the less water in Toktogul water reserve, according to him.
"Kazakhs and Turkmens are ready to supply electricity. The price and terms of delivery will have to be determined," he said.
The volume of water in Toktogul reserve will reach 17 billion cubic meters in two days, which is 2.1 billion cubic meters less than the same period of last year, he noted.
According to him, there will be a season of low water this year.
"This year there will be no electricity restrictions," he added.
