Cherry and honey of Kyrgyzstan exported to China, apricot to USA

Bishkek, Aug. 29, 2019. / Kabar /. Peasants independently export and sell their products, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation Zhanybek Kerimaliev told during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
He said that domestic farmers independently find buyers and, on the basis of agreements, export goods, there are also those who work through trade and purchasing companies. The latter acquire agricultural products and decide what to do with it. The deputy minister noted that, for example, it can be delivered to China only on the basis of an agreement.
"14 households have signed contracts with Chinese entrepreneurs, on the basis of the contract they send their products. Mostly from Batken and Osh regions. The same with honey. Basically, farmers export themselves, there are trade and purchasing companies that buy goods and export abroad," he said.
Kerimaliev added that Kyrgyzstan exports raw meat to Iran, Batken apricots are exported to the United States.
