Kazakhstan marks its Constitution Day

AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstan is marking its Constitution Day today on August 30. The country on this day in 1995 adopted the fundamental law at the national referenda.
According to the Constitution, Kazakhstan is a democratic, secular, lawful, social, unitarian state with presidential-parliamentary government, whose major values are a person, his life, rights and freedom. Upon recognition of the first president Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Constitution gave the Kazakh nation a right to vote.
On occasion of this day, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated the citizens.
"Our goal is a strong economic growth, meeting social demands of the nation, increasing its welfare and improving political system of the government.
Our Constitution will be further serving the interests of our citizens, contributing the development of Kazakhstan," the head of state concludes his congratulatory note wishing the Kazakhstanis good health, prosperity and success.
