President Jeenbekov opens new park in capital

Bishkek, Aug.30, 2019. /Kabar/. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov took part in the opening ceremony of new Park at the intersection of Aitmatov Avenue and Masaliyev Street in Bishkek - a gift to people of Bishkek on the Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic.
"Tomorrow our country will celebrate its 28th anniversary, the President said in his welcoming speech. I would like to congratulate you on this holiday from the bottom of my heart. Today is a special holiday for the citizens, I congratulate you on the opening of the Park. In April, we laid the capsule, and today the mayor's office finished its work."
"In Soviet times, Frunze was the greenest city, and not only in the Soviet Union. But in recent years he lost this title. There is need to return our capital a rank of the greenest city," President Jeenbekov noted.
"From now on, we'll be paying attention to the buildings of the city. Many park zones have been transferred to private ownership, thanks to the work of mayor we are restoring the gaps," the Kyrgyz leader said.
Bishkek Mayor Aziz Surakmatov also congratulated the citizens on the opening of a new recreation zone and reminded those present the square has been built on the initiative of the head of state when he laid the capsule at the beginning of this year.
Also at the opening of the Park, President Jeenbekov planted a tree called Chynar Terek (the Old sycamore), contributing to the improvement of the park zone.
