Special forces’ training skydiving held in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Aug.30, 2019. /Kabar/. Training skydiving out of MI-8MT helicopter and An-26 aircraft from a height of 800 meters were held on the basis of military unit on Aug. 27-29, 2019, the press service of the General Staff of the Kyrgyz Armed Forces reported.
The parachute jumpings were carried out by the air defense forces' personnel and the personnel of the Panther special unit of the National Guard of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic. More than 60 servicemen landed from the Mi-8 MT helicopter, 20 of them jumped for the first time.
These jumping out of from An-26 aircraft have become the first in the last twenty-one years, which is the result of the revision and strengthening of the combat training program. Skydiving out of aircraft is much more difficult than jumps from a helicopter.
Note that, these training jumps are one of the elements of preparation for the upcoming CSTO Center-2019 exercises.
In order to improve the professional level of the personnel, the leadership of the General Staff intends to continue to strengthen the combat training of troops of the Armed Forces.
