Two funds established in Kyrgyzstan under Kumtor project

Bishkek, Aug.30, 2019. /Kabar/. Two funds have been established in Kyrgyzstan under Kumtor project, Minister of Economy Sanjar Mukanbetov said at the briefing in the Government House.
He said the first fund is an environmental protection fund. "This fund is worth $50 million, plus $30.7 million will come annually. This agreement was signed in 2017-2018. In addition, it was increased by $7.4 million," he told, adding the fund will be managed by the Supervisory Board.
The second fund is the Regional Social Partnership Fund.
"The initial payment will be $5 million. Further, 0.4% of Kumtor's income will be received there annually. These funds will be directed to all regions of the country," the minister added.
