Pre-trial proceedings on minor offences discussed at government meeting in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jenish Razakov chaired a meeting on the issues related to pre-trial procedures on minor offences, the government's press service reported. The issue of relevant investigative authorities were considered as well.
Razakov said that the Interior Ministry had earlier been recommended to provide a gradual empowering of territorial police officers of functions of pre-trial investigation on minor offences.
According to him, the Interior Ministry and the General Prosecutor's Office should work out mechanisms of maintenance of activities of relevant authorities of investigative service in terms of territorial bodies and resolve the issue of a gradual providing of access of employees to the single register of crime and minor offences.
Upon conclusion, the Vice PM ordered the law enforcement bodies to assess the technical equipment of territorial services and opportunities of access to the single register of crime and minor offences.
