Bishkek, Sept.2, 2019. /Kabar/. The building of the Family Medicine Center in At-Bashy region, Naryn Oblast has been overhauled by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).
The press service of the Kyrgyz Health Ministry reported that the Center’s opening ceremony was attended by Parliament members, Turkish Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Chengiz Kamil Firat, TIKA Program Coordinator in Kyrgyzstan Ali Muslu, and Deputy Health Minister Erkin Checheibayev and others.
The deputy health minister thanked the Turkish government and TIKA for the assistance provided to the health sector.
"Every year the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency implements projects aimed at improving the health sector in Kyrgyzstan, and this cooperation is enshrined in a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of health care. Thanks to you, many hospitals in the country have been renovated and the construction of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital in Bishkek has been completed. We hope that our fruitful cooperation will continue," Checheibayev said.
The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency is a government department of the Prime Ministry of Turkey. TİKA is responsible for organization of the bulk of Turkey's official development assistance to developing countries, with a particular focus on Turkic countries and communities.
