Kazakhstan to launch system of compulsory social health insurance from January 2020

AKIPRESS.COM - A compulsory social health insurance system will be launched in Kazakhstan from January 1, 2020. "I would like to convey to everyone: the government preserves the guaranteed volume of free medical aid," President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said in his address to the nation on September 2.
During the open joint session of the Parliament, the head of state said that the number of recipients of social aid increased from 77,000 people to more than 1.4 million people within 5 years.
According to him, the volume of funds allocated from the state budget for social support grew by 17 times since 2017.
"In other words, more and more people prefer not to work or hide their incomes," the President noted.
