Bishkek, Sept.2, 2019. /Kabar/. "Deep knowledge gives strength to any person and makes his life easier," Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov said today at the opening of the Gazprom Kyrgyzstan general education school in Bishkek.
The head of state congratulated students on Knowledge Day and the beginning of the new academic year.
"We have a special relationship of trust with Russia. They are based on historical, traditional ties of friendship, alliance and strategic partnership. Russia is our close, reliable ally and strategic partner. We highly appreciate our relations with Russia," said Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
He added this school is the first large joint Kyrgyz-Russian project in the field of school education and expressed hope for an increase in such educational institutions in the regions of the country.
The President noted to date, the Gazprom Group of Companies has transferred more than KGS 43 billion or USD 3.2 billion to the country's budget, which has a positive impact on the development of the economy of Kyrgyzstan.
President Jeenbekov also stressed the social responsibility of the company, which completed the construction of 9 sports and recreation complexes in all regions of Kyrgyzstan as part of the Gazprom to Children program.
Note that, the Gazprom Kyrgyzstan School has been built as part of the Gazprom to Children project and is designed for 960 pupils.
