Uzbekistan, U.S. intend to develop cooperation in higher education

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan Inomzhon Majidov and U.S. Ambassador Daniel Rosenblum discussed cooperation prospects in higher education, CA-News reports. The Uzbek side expressed readiness to cooperate in opening of a branch of the American university in Tashkent and implementation of joint education programs.
Uzbekistan is interested in international cooperation in preparation of specialists in textile, chemical, pharmaceutical industries, architecture, construction, agriculture, medicine, machine building and energy sector, the Minister said.
Ambassador Rosenblum noted contribution of American specialists in improvement of English teaching methods at Uzbek universities, development of training programs, academic exchange programs. The Ambassador noted big opportunities existing in development of cooperation in preparation of qualified personnel in future.
