AKIPRESS.COM - The government of Kazakhstan will ensure annual GDP growth at the level of at least 5% by 2025 due to the diversification and boosting of activities of state bodies and quasi-public sector, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Finance Alikhan Smailov reported on Tuesday at the government session, Vlast.kz reports.
According to him, authorities will start a gradual reduction of a number of civil servants from 2020. By 2024, a number of civil servants and employees of the national companies will be reduced by 25%, he noted.
The priority task is increasing income from quasi-public sector, he said.
"We will assess the real income from the national fund Samruk-Kazyna in favor of the welfare of the population over the past 14 years. The government will conduct a thorough analyses of effectiveness of state holdings and national companies within 3 months," he said.
As part of development of small and micro business, Smailov reminded that about 100 billion tenge were allocated for reduction of unemployment and improving welfare of rural population.
