Bishkek, Sept.4, 2019. /Kabar/. Japanese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Yoshihiro Yamamura's diplomatic mission ended.
The Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry’s press service reported that Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov received the Japanese ambassador.
During the meeting concrete aspects of bilateral cooperation in political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed. In particular, the sides touched upon the organization of the visits at the highest level.
Aidarbekov expressed gratitude to the Japanese side for supporting infrastructure and social projects. In particular, on July 17, 2019, Kyrgyzstan and Japan signed agreements on the implementation of the Project of reconstruction of the bridge over the Urmaral River on the Talas-Taraz highway for a total amount of about $ 16.5 million.
The Embassy of Japan in Kyrgyzstan is effectively implementing the Japanese Government Program, which is aimed at implementing projects in education, health care and other social spheres.
The sides expressed confidence that the Kyrgyz-Japanese relations will continue to develop fruitfully for the benefit of the two countries.
Minister Aidarbekov thanked Ambassador Yamamura for his personal contribution to the strengthening and development of Kyrgyz-Japanese relations and wished him further success in his professional activities.
Yoshihiro Yamamura was appointed Japanese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan in March 2017.
