Over 1,000 citizens of Uzbekistan may be deprived of Uzbek citizenship

AKIPRESS.COM - Citizens of Uzbekistan, who left the home country more than 3 years ago and have not registered with diplomatic missions abroad, may be deprived of Uzbek citizenship, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow said. 1,150 citizens of Uzbekistan are at risk of withdrawal of citizenship after they departed from the country more than 3 years, but have not registered with embassies.
Withdrawal of citizenship is considered in connection with the article 21 of the Law on Citizenship of Uzbekistan.
