FIFA presents the official Qatar 2022 World Cup logo

AKIPRESS.COM - FIFA unveiled the logo of the 2022 World Cup on a ceremony in Doha,Qatar, MBS news reports.
The presentation of the emblem of the next World Cup began at 20:22 local time, to remember the year in which Qatar will host the largest football tournament on the planet. In Doha the global logo was projected on six iconic buildings, and the same happened in different countries of the world
The logo is made in the form of intertwined "2" figures, which recall the symbol of the infinite. The design on the emblem recalls the one executed by oriental women with henna. The logo appeared simultaneously in 23 cities around the world.
"The curves of the emblem represent the undulations of the desert dunes and the continued motif describes the figure 8 - a reference to the 8 magnificent stadiums that will host the tournament and the symbol of infinity, to underline the interconnected nature of the event" - yes reads the description in a FIFA press release.
Qatar will be the first Arab country to host the World Cup. In addition, the World Cup in Qatar will be the first to be played during the European winter. The tournament will begin on November 21st and end on December 21st 2022. The country will also host the World Cup for clubs in preparation for the World Cup, which will take place in December 2019.
