Kyrgyzstan plans to root causes of shady business

Bishkek, Sept.5, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Economy submits for public discussion a draft government decree "On Approval of the Action Plan to Reduce the Level of the Unobserved Sector of the Economy for 2019-2021".
According to the document, the objectives of the Action Plan is to reduce by 2021 the level of the unobserved sector of the economy to 22.6 percent of GDP and to eliminate the reasons that encourage economic entities to go into the shadows, as well as minimize corruption risks and create favorable conditions for doing business.
In general, the Action Plan is aimed at improving the conduct of business, reducing barriers and regulatory processes.
The Plan also provides for measures to strengthen control over entrepreneurs working in the informal sector in order to encourage their formalization.
For instance, measures are envisaged to reduce the recruitment of employees without a contract. The Plan includes information and awareness campaigns on government activities as part of the formalization of the business.
