Kyrgyzstan, Turkey discuss cooperation issues in field of health care

Bishkek, Sept.5, 2019. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliyev met with Minister of Health of Turkey Fahrettin Koca, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan said.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the dynamic development of bilateral cooperation in the field of health care between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. In particular, they noted the need for the rapid opening of the Bishkek State Hospital of Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship and the implementation of the Agreement on cooperation in the field of health care and medical sciences, which provides for an increase in the allocated quota for free treatment of Kyrgyz citizens in Turkey from 100 people per year to 150.
Ambassador Omuraliyev expressed his request to speed up operations on cochlear implant placement for the citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic as part of the allocated quota for free treatment of Kyrgyz citizens in Turkey, to conduct internships in Turkey for doctors and health care professionals of Kyrgyzstan, as well as to resume the Health Week in the Kyrgyz Republic project with the participation of Turkish doctors.
The Turkish side assured in solving the above mentioned issues and proposed to open a diagnostic center in Kyrgyzstan with the condition of allocation of a land plot.
