China is the main lender of Tajikistan

AKIPRESS.COM - China is the main lender of Tajikistan accounting for 54.1% of total loans it took and about 80% of all bilateral loan portfolio of the nation, according to the World Bank's Country Economic Memorandum for Tajikistan.
The International Development Association (IDA) accounts for 14%, the Asian Development Fund - 11.8%, and the Islamic Development Bank - 5.8%, according to a World Bank report.
Over 40% of all debt payments must be done by Tajikistan in the next 5 years.
According to the Tajik finance ministry, the total foreign debt of Tajikistan in H1 was about $2.9 billion.
