6.16 million schoolchildren start school year in Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - The school year has started at 9,904 schools of Uzbekistan on September 4 with 6.16 million students entering schools. 620,000 children started school this year, CA-News reports. The number of schools has grown for 213 compared to the previous school year, the Ministry of Education said.
383 colleges will be transformed into schools. This way 154 new schools will appear. 299 buildings will be used ad additional buildings. 224,000 new student places will be created in 2019-2020 school year.
