Bishkek hosts 60th meeting of CIS Council of Heads of Statistics Services

Bishkek, Sept.5, 2019. /Kabar/. The regular 60th meeting of the Council of Heads of Statistics Services of the CIS member states, chaired by Kyrgyzstan’s National Statistic Committee Head Akylbek Sultanov took place in Bishkek today, Sept.5.
The press service of the Statistic Service said that First Deputy Chief of President’s Office of Kyrgyzstan Almaz Kenenbayev greeted the participants of the meeting.
The CIS Population Census 2020, the work of the CIS Statistics Committee on the organization of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) indicators monitoring in the CIS region, report on the activities of the Council of Heads of Statistics Services of the CIS member states in 2018, report on the work of the CIS Interstate Statistics Committee in 2018 and other issues were discussed at the meeting.
The Council of Heads of Statistics Services of member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States was established on Feb. 6, 1992, by CIS Heads of National Statistics.
The Council is composed of heads of 10 national statistical services of the states as its authorized members, as well as Chairman of the CIS Statistic Committee.
