Chinese Embassy hands over textbooks for 27 million tenge to Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The Embassy of China in Kazakhstan donated textbooks in Chinese language to Kazakh schools for study of language and culture of this country, Xinhua reported.
"This is a traditional event that we hold annually to help schools, where the Chinese language is studied. It's very important for our bilateral relations," Ambassador of China Zhang Xiao said during the handover ceremony.
The diplomat believes that the cultutal and humanitarian cooperation between Kazakhstan and China should be actively developed.
"The Chinese language should be widely practiced in Kazakhstan, therefore, it's important to learn it from the school years," he noted.
According to acting director of the department of international cooperation of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Elmira Asan, about 1,300 students from China study in Kazakh universities on grants. The same number of Kazakhstanis study in China, she noted.
