CIS Executive Committee, Turkmenistan Foreign Ministry discuss cooperation issues

AKIPRESS.COM - Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan met with the delegation of the CIS Executive Committee, headed by the First Deputy Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee - Executive Secretary V.A.Guminskiy, who has arrived to Turkmenistan on a working visit on Sept 5, Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
The parties noted the effectiveness of cooperation and advancement of events in the framework of Turkmenistan's chairmanship in the Commonwealth of Independent States in the present year. The representatives of the CIS Executive Committee highly appraised the efforts of Turkmenistan aimed at maintaining stability, economic growth and integration in the region for which the hosting of the First Caspian Economic Forum in Turkmenbashy city in August of current year serves as a vivid proof.
During the meeting, the parties thoroughly discussed the issues related to the preparation of the CIS Heads of States Council summit to be held on October 11 of current year.
Also the proposals pertaining to the meeting of the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States to be held on September 13 in Ashgabat, as well as the organizational matters on the CIS Foreign Ministers' Council session planned for October 10, 2019 were considered.
