Turkmenistan’s Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations dismissed

AKIPRESS.COM - On 4 September President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree to relieve Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations Amandurdy Ishanov of his post. The state information agency TDH reports that the Minister was dismissed for "grave job-related shortcomings", Chronicles of Turkmenistan reports.
Former Chairperson of Turkmenistan's Chamber of Commerce Orazmyrat Gurbannazarov was appointed as his replacement. In his turn, Dovletgeldi Redjepov, Deputy Chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce, was appointed the Chairperson of the Chamber.
Following the tradition, the official media outlets did not mention the specific reasons behind Ishanov's dismissal.
It should be emphasized that Turkmenistan presented its export merchandise in the framework of the first Caspian Economic Forum held in Avaza as well as at the business forum in Singapore.
Ishanov, who was appointed in late July 2018, occupied his post for slightly over twelve months.
Gurbannazarov, who was appointed the new Minister of Trade, had previously held the position of Deputy Prime Minister overseeing trade.
