AKIPRESS.COM - 6.4 tons of fish died in the Tokpan Lake in Aral district of Kyzylorda region, the press service of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan reported. A commission composed of environmentalists on September 4-5 headed to the site.
They examined the shore line of the lake. Species composition made 96% of common bream, the others - common roach, sicklefish, carp and pike-perch.
Employees of the department of ecology, veterinary service, Kazhydromet and the Aral department of the scientific and processing center of fishery took a sample of water and killed fish for laboratory reseraches and sanitary analysis.
Sample taking and utilization of dead fish are inderway today.
The Tokpan Lake is located in north-west of the Kamystybas Lake in Aral district of Kyzylorda region. It is not included in the list of fishery water of local importance and the main species of fish here is bream.
