Tokayev awards orders for participation in restoration of Arys

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has awarded several dozens of people for participation in restoration of the city of Arys affected by explosion of ammunition, Tengrinews.kz reports. During the award ceremony, Tokayev noted a huge work of the participants of the event and thanked the businessmen, who donated funds for restoration of roads and houses.
According to the head of state, 90% of houses and buildings in the city were damaged as a result of warehouse blasts.
Explosion occurred in a military warehouse of Turkestan region on June 24. The criminal probe was launched into violation of the rules of handling weapons, as well as with substances and objects that pose a danger to others. 165 people were injured, 2 others died as a result.
