Villagers destroy several hundreds liters of alcohol

AKIPRESS.COM - Citizens of Noogardy village of Kadamjai district, Batken region decided to prohibit sale of alcohol drinks in their village since September 6, Turmush reports.
Unpleasant incidents happen due to alcohol drinks. For this reason, the decision was made to prohibit their sale, elderly community leaders said.
The initiative was supported by the villagers, who bought alcohol drinks for 90,000 soms (near $1,300) in all village stores and destroyed them.
Another village of Besh-Koruk, Moskovskiy district, voted for prohibition of sale of alcohol since July 1. The measure was supported mainly by local women, who believe the move will improve the social situation and reduce crime rate.
The village of Komsomol, Kochkor district, also prohibited sale of alcohol, the store owners supported the move.
Citizens of Kara-Bulak village, Nooken diustrict, Jalal-Abad region also prohibited alcohol not only in stores but also at various public celebrations.
