AKIPRESS.COM - A political activist Sanavar Zakirova, who wanted to register a party "Our Rights", has been notified that she is suspected of extremism and summoned to the law enforcement bodies, Vlast.kg reported.
"As I wanted to announce about creation of a party, our authorities declared it (party) extremist! I am summoned to police for interrogation as a suspect of participation in the activities of public or religious organization or other organization banned in the country in connection with extremist or terrorist activities," Zakirova posted on Facebook.
The activist is attempting to register a party since the end of last winter. Then she and 9 people held a meeting of the organizing committee, then they published announcement about holding of a congress of Our Rights party on Egemen Qazaqstan (independent Kazakhstan) newspaper.
According to Zakirova, the congress was then canceled. The company, with whom was reached an agreement on renting the hall, refused to offer its service on the last time. Zakirova blamed authorities for that. In the end of May 2019, the activist sued the Almaty administration, prosecutor's office and the Nur Otan party.
After the presidential election of Kazakhstan, Zakirova with a group of activists rallied near the Akorda and was held in administrative arrest for 5 days.
Sanavar Zakirova is a business woman. She has not participated in politics since 2019.
