Grand celebration of Komuz Day in Osh

Osh, Sept.9, 2019 /Kabar/. As part of the Komuz Day, 500 komuzists (person who plays the komuz) participated in the festive flash mob, held at the Alymbek-Datka ethnographic complex.
The event was organized by the Department of Culture of Osh city.
During the festive flash mob students of universities, musicians, students of musical colleges, theaters of the city and philharmonic performed a Mash Botoi festive melody.
In total, about 1000 people were involved in the event.
Note that, in accordance with Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov’s decree, signed on July 29, 2019 the Komuz Day is celebrated annually on Sept.9.
Komuz is a Kyrgyz national three-stringed musical instrument.
