EBRD to finance water supply and sewerage rehabilitation in Kyrgyzstan’s Jalal-Abad

Bishkek, Sept.9, 2019. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz Parliament’s Committee on Agrarian Policy, Water Resources, Environment and Regional Development considered and approved the draft loan agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
Financial means for implementation of the Rehabilitation of Water Supply and Sewerage System in Jalal-Abad town project are provided by the EBRD and its Special Shareholders' Fund.
The total amount of the project is EUR 9.275 million, of which:
- Financing of the EBRD is EUR 4 million (credit); and EUR 1.15 million (grant funds for technical coperation);
- Financing of the EBRD Special Shareholders’ Fund – EUR 4.125 million (grant).
Project implementation period is 3 years.
