AKIPRESS.COM - There are no deadlines for credit amnesty, Kazinform reported as Vice Minister of Labor and Social Development of Population of Kazakhstan Svetlana Zhakupova saying.
"This campaign does not imply any terms. Even if a person submits documents on that fact that he or she belongs to 5 categories by the end of the year, the list will be formed. But, of course, the earlier, the better," she told a press conference on Monday.
According to Deputy Chairman of the National Bank Oleg Smolyakov, as of September 5, 507,363 citizens that fell in the list from August 20, 2019 have their credits written off.
263,525 citizens out of them or about 52% of the total number of those falling under amnesty having loans less than 3 million tenge have their full debts paid off.
The relevant law on writing off Kazakhstanis debts was signed by the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on July 4 and will came into force on July 16, 2019.
