AKIPRESS.COM - Ashgabat hosted the 8th Turkmen-German Health Forum, which over the years has been an effective platform for developing partnerships in the field of medicine between two friendly countries on Sept 6. The forum was organized as part of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Health and the Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and the Federal Ministry of Health of the Federal Republic of Germany, Turkmenistan Foreign Ministry reports.
The forum was attended by well-known scientists, professors of leading clinics in Germany, and from the Turkmen side, heads and representatives of government agencies and scientific-clinical centers, sanatorium-medical institutions, and the Turkmen State Medical University.
During the opening of the forum, on behalf of the guests of our country, sincere gratitude was expressed to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his high confidence in the partners from Germany who are actively involved in the implementation of fundamental changes in the Turkmen health care system.
On the first day of the forum, topics such as caring for small babies were examined on the example of the best practice of the Ashgabat Scientific and Clinical Center for Maternal and Child Health, whose specialists work closely with German colleagues, including mastering new methods of nursing premature babies.
Actual issues of pediatric rheumatology were raised by the doctors of the Hospital with the scientific and clinical center of cardiology. Other reports of leading specialists of medical centers of our country on various specific problems that doctors have to deal with in difficult cases were heard.
The second day of the forum will be devoted to digital medicine and advanced technologies, which are increasingly used in medical institutions of Turkmenistan. The country has developed a Strategy for the development of a digital healthcare system for 2019-2025, which provides for equipping fiber optic communications and the necessary equipment of medical institutions, their computerization and informatization.
