Preparations for First National Nomad Games to be completed

Bishkek, Sept. 10, 2019. / Kabar /. Preparations for the First National Nomad Games in Talas Oblast are at the completion stage, Kanatbek Arpachiev, deputy director of the State Agency for Youth, Physical Education and Sports, said during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
He said that the National Games include 10 kinds of sports, in particular - at-chabysh, jorgo-salysh, kunan-chabysh, er-enish, kok-boru, kyrgyz-kurosh, alish, ordo, toguz-korgol and salburun .
"We have already completed the preparations. Now the work of the credentials committee begins. Teams from 7 oblasts and 2 cities were formed. On Sept. 16 in the morning we will begin the event," he said.
In total, 621 people, another 63 judges, and the organizing committee of 23 people will take part in the national nomad games. About 200 horses will be involved in the games.
As for the cultural part, it is expected to organize an ethnobazar, ethno-towns of each region.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov said that each region will come with its own theatrical event.
Participants of the press conference said that there would be no opening or closing ceremony. On Sept. 21 there will be a solemn event in honor of the National Nomad Games.
The First National Nomad Games will be held from Sept 16 to 21 in Talas Oblast.
Further, the games will be held annually in the region-winner of the previous games.
