Bishkek, Sept.10, 2019. /Kabar/. The Government is always ready to support domestic producers, Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Prime Minister Zamirbek Askarov said during his visit to the travertine processing plant in Zhylaldy village of Uzgen region, Osh Oblast.
The Government’s press service reported that the official got acquainted with the work of the enterprise, which is engaged in the manufacture of travertine slabs for decorative cladding of buildings.
Today the plant employs 18 people. It is planning to produce liquid travertine out of waste, which is a unique decorative material for finishing. Then the number of workers will double.
"Tax exemption, streamlined inspections and easier access to credit - all this is done for business development. The Government is interested in supporting entrepreneurs and developing business," Askarov said.
Then Deputy PM Askarov visited the oil plant in Don Bulak village, where 70 people work.
Up to 50 tons of sunflower seeds, safflower and soybean seeds are processed here a day, and three receiving points of shrovetide crops have been created.
The products meet all the requirements of the EAEU. The construction of the plant cost entrepreneurs $3.5 million. 20% of the funds were allocated by USAID within the framework of the Agro Horizon project.
The deputy prime minister stressed that such enterprises create permanent jobs and benefit farmers, giving them the opportunity to sell their products.
"We will provide all possible assistance to enterprises whose activities are aimed at developing the country's agriculture," Askarov said.
