AKIPRESS.COM - 90% of all wastes suspended in the air fall on vehicles (liquid fuel), the rest of 10% of wastes come from CHPPs, baths, saunas, households (burning coal, sewing wastes), industrial enterprises, organized and not organized dumps, Chairperson of the GreenEnergy public fund Anara Sultangaziyeva told a press conference in AKIpress today.
According to her, a number of cars is increasing in Kyrgyzstan and many of them are old ones that do not support modern methods of fuel consumption. Poor quality of fuel exhausts toxic wastes, she noted.
According to the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry, 2 million 20 thousand tons of coal are burnt in Kyrgyzstan every year, including 1 million 100 thousand tons are burnt by CHPPs, the other parts fall on private sector and households.
Sanitary doctor of the Ministry of Health Gulnara Sariyeva said a number of children's allergic rhinitis incidents is rising in the country over the past years.
Doctors recommend to bury the tree leaves instead of burning them, because they also emit toxical substances, she said.
In this regad, the participants of the press conference told about alternative ways of heating during winter period and shared recommendations that reduce air pollution.
"These are gas heating, electric heating and renewable natural resources (water, sun). These paths are less harmful for us and for the environment," they said.
Experts also called on the drivers to buy more safe fuel of 4 and 5 class.
