Bishkek, Sept.13, 2019. /Kabar/. The solemn ceremony of presenting credentials by Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Belarus Ermek Ibrayimov to President Alexander Lukashenko took place at the Independence Palace, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The Belarusian leader pointed out that Belarus pursues an open, peaceful and multi-vector foreign policy and is ready for close and mutually beneficial cooperation with all foreign partners regardless of their political influence, geographical remoteness and economic potential.
Addressing Ambassador Ibrayimov, the President of Belarus noted Kyrgyzstan is traditionally an important ally and partner for the country.
The priority in bilateral relations is to increase trade turnover using the potential of the EAEU. "The opportunities for this are evidenced by the growth of mutual trade over the past two years by more than 2.5 times," President Lukashenko said.
Having conveyed his best wishes to President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov, Lukashenko wished stability and development in the country and assured that Belarus had been and would be a reliable partner for Kyrgyzstan.
