Karakol residents affected by hurricane obtain material support

Bishkek, Sept.13, 2019. /Kabar/. Issyk-Kul Oblast’s Karakol Mayor Adyl Kanimetov presented material assistance to the victims of the hurricane.
The press service of the Karakol Mayor’s Office said the total amount of material aid amounted to KGS 727 thousand (USD 10. 400).
During the night of 10 to 11 Sept., a strong wind broke out in the city of Karakol, resulting in more than 40 houses being damaged.
In the morning of Sept. 11, Mayor Adyl Kanimetov gathered an emergency meeting with the Civil Protection Services, after half an hour of emergency meeting the commission, headed by the mayor, left for the place of the emergency, and determined the strength of the wind and the damage caused.
On the same day, the City Council of Deputies convened for extraordinary session, where it was decided to allocate financial aid in the amount of KGS 727 thousand from the Mayor's Office budget.
