AKIPRESS.COM - Bishkek hosted a working meeting of members of "For budget advocacy" coalition, which includes 20 organization with representatives of Health Ministry and Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund on Sept 12. The meeting discussed the intention of the government to cut funding for health programs for 2020, including programs for the prevention and treatment of HIV, tuberculosis, cancer, diabetes, drug addiction and other infectious and noncommunicable diseases, as well as strategic goals and objectives of the coalition were also identified at the meeting, the coalition said.
"We believe that the situation will improve and government will allocate 630 million soms to increase the wages of family doctors," said the head of budget planning department of Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund Gulmira Borchubayeva.
Currently, Finance Ministry owed 1 billion soms to Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund for 8 months.
