Abylgaziev visits victims of border incident in Batken oblast

Bishkek, Sept. 17, 2019. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev, along with deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, visited the territorial hospital of Leilek region and visited victims of a border incident on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border, the press service of the government said.
During the shootout 13 people were injured, of which 10 people were transported to Bishkek for treatment by military transport aircraft of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The head of government was informed about the health status of the injured citizens.
Abylgaziev wished the victims sooner recovery, stressing that the state would provide them with all the necessary assistance and support.
The prime minister also talked with relatives and friends of the victims and spoke about measures taken by the government to resolve cross-border issues and de-escalate the situation.
The families of the victims are provided with financial assistance on behalf of the Jogorku Kenesh and the government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
