Situation in Kyrgyz-Tajik border is stable: Border Service

AKIPRESS.COM - The situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border area is stable, the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan said.
The border service noted that all the checkpoints on the border territory are operating normally, except for the Kulundu - Avtodorojnyi checkpoint, where the Tajik side suspended the pass in one direction.
The talks of Kyrgyz and Tajik border services will continue today.
On Sept 18, the Prime Ministers of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan discuss the issues of delimitation and demarcation of the state border.
The shootout occurred on September 16 at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border area killing 1 Kyrgyz soldier and injuring 13 people, including 7 servicemen and 6 civilians of Kyrgyzstan. Two of them remain in serious condition. 11 people will be transported by military transport aircraft to Bishkek.
