AKIPRESS.COM - Mayor of Almaty Bakytzhan Sagintayev at the meeting with the Japanese expert in the sphere of seismic security provision, Director General of Challenge LTD Kazuo Sasaki discussed the issues of establishing early earthquake alert systems in the city, Sputnik Kazakhstan said. According to specialists of the seismology institute, Almaty needs 25-35 stations.
The Japanese expert said he is ready for cooperation. He told the mayor about the advantages of the EQ Guard equipment, which has already been demonstrated its results in many earthquake-prone regions of the world.
Sagintayev told on Instagram that the modern quake warning systems are integral part of the complex of measures on providing security of city dwellers living in quake-prone areas.
